Workspaces without owners
Teams and SharePoint sites grow faster than provisioning, review and retirement practices.
AvePoint partner context
Insyto helps organizations plan and implement AvePoint governance and backup controls around Microsoft 365 workspaces, permissions and recovery requirements. Migration and continuing administration have separate scopes and handoffs.
The goal is a Microsoft 365 estate whose workspaces have owners, permissions can be reviewed, data can be recovered as designed, and change can be handed into operations.
Discuss your Microsoft 365 environmentThis diagram follows a workspace from creation through access review, protection, change and continuing ownership. The products are options at specific steps, not a requirement to buy a bundle.
Microsoft 365
Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Groups contain collaboration content and the people who can reach it.
AvePoint Cloud Governance
Provisioning, ownership, lifecycle and policy workflows make workspace decisions repeatable.
AvePoint Policies & Insights
Sharing, membership and configuration visibility help teams prioritize access and policy issues.
AvePoint Cloud Backup
Backup and restore options support agreed recovery requirements for Microsoft 365 data.
AvePoint Fly / migration options
Migration tooling can move and restructure content; permissions, validation and the destination design still need a project plan.
Insyto Microsoft 365 managed services
Continuing tenant administration and governance require a separately agreed owner after implementation handoff.
Teams and SharePoint sites grow faster than provisioning, review and retirement practices.
External links, group membership and inherited permissions make access reviews slow and incomplete.
Retention settings and recycle bins do not by themselves establish which data can be restored or by whom.
Moving content before deciding ownership, structure and access can preserve the same problems in a new tenant.
Existing oversharing becomes more consequential when people can find and summarize content more easily.
A configured rule still needs exception handling, review cadence and a team responsible for change.
Vendor capability and Insyto's deliverable are separate. The canonical implementation service defines Insyto's approved governance-and-backup project scope.
Cloud Governance
AvePoint supports governance workflows around Microsoft 365 and Power Platform workspaces. Insyto's canonical AvePoint project can configure agreed provisioning, lifecycle and ownership rules.
Policies & Insights
AvePoint provides visibility into sharing, membership and configuration across Teams, Groups, SharePoint and OneDrive. Its use should follow an access policy and remediation plan; the canonical Insyto service does not promise every Policies & Insights feature.
Cloud Backup
AvePoint supports backup and restoration for Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams and other Microsoft 365 workloads. Insyto's implementation scope includes agreed backup policy configuration and representative recovery testing, not a universal recovery target.
Fly
AvePoint Fly supports Microsoft 365 content and tenant migration scenarios. Insyto's migration service is a separate project; this page does not imply that every migration uses Fly or that Fly deployment is included in AvePoint governance and backup work.
An engagement is appropriate when Microsoft 365 workspace ownership, lifecycle and backup requirements have been defined well enough to configure. Insyto can set up approved Cloud Governance workflows and Cloud Backup policies, test representative recovery and document the handoff.
It is a delivery project, not a standing promise to monitor every backup or administer every workspace. Recovery objectives and any ongoing review or monitoring need an agreed operating scope.

Microsoft 365 managed servicesSituation: Broad permissions and stale sites make AI readiness difficult to judge.
Decision: Assess access and data exposure, then scope workspace governance and remediation before a pilot.
Situation: Teams and sites are created without consistent owners or retirement rules.
Decision: Review the tenant's governance requirements, configure approved workflows and hand review ownership to operations.
Situation: Backup coverage and restore responsibility are unclear across mail and collaboration data.
Decision: Define required workloads and retention, configure the selected backup policy and record a representative recovery test.
Situation: A tenant or content migration must preserve required structure and access.
Decision: Plan the target state, choose suitable migration tooling, validate moved content and hand off the new environment.
Situation: External sharing and membership exceptions have outgrown manual review.
Decision: Assess the risk, prioritize changes and implement only the governance controls that match the approved access model.
Microsoft 365 provides Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange and identity services, with native administration and protection features. AvePoint can add workspace governance, permissions insight, backup and migration options where an assessed requirement calls for them. Insyto defines the implementation and operational boundary.

AvePoint offers tools for workspace governance, permission visibility, backup and recovery, and migration. Which products are appropriate depends on the tenant and the agreed business requirements.
AvePoint Cloud Governance supports repeatable workspace provisioning, ownership and lifecycle workflows. Insyto can configure approved governance rules under its separate AvePoint implementation service.
That is a recovery-design decision, not a universal rule. Define the workloads, retention needs and restore scenarios, then compare native capabilities with any additional backup approach and test the selected process.
AvePoint documents support for Microsoft 365 workloads including Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Groups and Teams. Actual coverage, retention and restore authority must be configured for the customer's environment.
They provide visibility and policy controls for permissions, sharing, membership and configuration across Microsoft 365 workspaces. Findings still need prioritization and an owner for remediation.
AvePoint Fly is a vendor migration tool for supported Microsoft 365 workloads. Insyto's Microsoft 365 migration service is a separately scoped project; the AvePoint governance-and-backup service does not automatically include Fly delivery.
Purview addresses Microsoft information protection and data-governance controls. AvePoint can complement it with workspace lifecycle, permissions visibility, backup and migration capabilities. The right combination depends on the requirements and current configuration.
The AvePoint project ends with configuration, validation and a documented handoff. Ongoing tenant administration and governance may continue through a separately agreed Microsoft 365 managed-services scope; AvePoint backup monitoring is not implied.
