Insyto assesses how identity, endpoint, data and Microsoft security controls work together, then translates the findings into a risk-based Zero Trust roadmap. The engagement supports decisions; it does not deploy controls or operate your security environment.
Evidence and priorities guide the next decision; deployment is a separate scope.
When this engagement is useful
CIOs, CISOs and IT leaders who need a defensible view of security gaps before funding remediation, modernizing controls or expanding AI access.
Identity, endpoint, data and threat controls have been improved independently without a shared target state.
Policy exceptions and privileged access are difficult to explain to leadership or auditors.
Security tooling produces findings, but teams lack a prioritized remediation sequence.
Planned Microsoft 365, Azure or AI initiatives depend on controls whose readiness is unclear.
What Insyto reviews
We define the assessment boundary, review available configuration and evidence, interview accountable owners and distinguish confirmed gaps from evidence limitations.
Assessment domains
01Identity and privileged accessMicrosoft Entra ID
02Endpoint trustMicrosoft Intune and Defender for Endpoint
03Detection and responseMicrosoft Defender XDR and Sentinel
04Data, applications and governanceMicrosoft Purview and Microsoft 365
Microsoft Entra ID
Identity and privileged access
Evaluate how users and administrators authenticate and receive access.
MFA and Conditional Access coverage, exclusions and dependencies
Privileged role assignments and PIM practices
User lifecycle, guest access and access-review ownership
Microsoft Intune and Defender for Endpoint
Endpoint trust
Review whether device posture supports access and security decisions.
Enrollment and device-compliance coverage
Configuration and security-baseline gaps
Relationship between device state and Conditional Access
Microsoft Defender XDR and Sentinel
Detection and response
Assess available telemetry and how security findings move to action.
Coverage across agreed identities, endpoints, email and cloud workloads
Alert triage, escalation and response ownership
Detection gaps, unresolved findings and response procedures
Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365
Data, applications and governance
Examine access to sensitive information and the policies governing it.
Information classification, sharing and DLP coverage
Application access and material governance exceptions
Ownership of remediation, monitoring and risk acceptance
Evidence behind the assessment
Evidence can include agreed Entra policy and role exports, device compliance reports, Defender and Sentinel coverage, data-protection settings, incident procedures and interviews with control owners. Missing telemetry or access is recorded as an evidence gap, not a passing control.
Maturity observations apply only to the agreed systems and evidence. They are not a certification, legal conclusion or guarantee that all threats or compliance gaps have been identified.
Business questions the engagement answers
Which exposures require action before planned business initiatives?
Where do control gaps result from configuration, ownership or missing evidence?
What target state is practical for the current Microsoft estate?
Which remediation work should be sequenced first, and who must approve it?
What your team receives
The final materials separate observed findings, assumptions and decisions so leadership and delivery teams can act on the same record.
Current-state findings and evidence limitations by agreed Zero Trust area.
A risk and control-gap register with accountable owners.
Target-state direction for identity, endpoint, data and detection controls.
A prioritized remediation roadmap with dependencies and decision points.
An executive readout connecting technical findings to business risk.
What the findings mean
The roadmap separates immediate exposure, design decisions and controls that need operational ownership. A gap in policy coverage may call for Entra or Intune deployment; an alert without an owner may call for a response-process change before any tool expansion.
How the engagement works
01
Frame the decisions
Confirm stakeholders, business priorities, systems, evidence access and the questions leadership needs answered.
02
Review controls and ownership
Examine configuration and operating practices, interview owners and record findings, exceptions and evidence gaps.
03
Prioritize the roadmap
Validate findings, define target-state direction and brief leadership on remediation priorities and dependencies.
Configuration changes, deployments, migrations and recurring administration are not included automatically. Those activities begin only under an approved implementation or managed-service scope.
From findings to implementation and operations
Consulting identifies decisions and priorities. The next engagement depends on the findings; it is not predetermined by the assessment.
Operate agreed device policy and compliance responsibilities after deployment.
Connection to Private Enterprise AI
A stronger identity and information-access baseline can support controlled enterprise AI. AI solution design is a separate outcome, not part of this assessment.
See related identity, device and governance implementation experience; it is not an assessment result claim.
Entra, Intune, Defender, Sentinel and Purview provide the platform context for this review; scope depends on the customer's deployed controls. Explore Microsoft technology

Decide where security remediation should begin
Tell us what has changed in your environment, which decisions are stalled and what evidence is available. We can define an assessment scope around the risks leadership needs to understand.
